About Us
Company Background
My business partner and I wanted to create a company that addressed two of the biggest global challenges:
1. Food security
2. Climate change
With our strong backgrounds in agriculture and high tech, and our desire to contribute to a better world, it was natural that we would create an agtech company that helps farmers and other agriculture players to be:
- More productive, and
- More sustainable
We started our journey by analyzing all aspects of agriculture and the associated supply chain and value chain.
Our observation:
(a) Farmers have many challenges (obvious)
(b) There are many solutions out there, including agtech solutions, but they only address
a part or subset of all farmers’ challenges.
(c) One word came up frequently everywhere we looked: “resilient”
- Resilient crops
- Resilient supply chain
- Resilient farm practices
- Resilient farmer
Based on our research, we decided that the “theme” of our company would be “resilience”:
à Our company is called “Resilient Ag”.
à We will help farmers, and other agriculture players, to be more resilient.
à This will help them to address a wide range of challenges, leading to improved success.
Company Vision
To become a global agriculture leader in helping farmers, and other agriculture players in
the agriculture supply chain / value chain, to address farm-level and global challenges including:
- Farm productivity and profitability
- Food security
- Global warming
Leading to improved success in their fields.
Company Mandate
To provide farmers, and other agriculture players, with (i) valuable curated knowledge,
(ii) advanced technology tools and (iii) other supports to enable them to have
improved success, including:
- Improved productivity
- Improved sustainability
- Improved financials.
